pop quiz

"Watch out for doomsday deceivers. Many leaders are going to show up with forged identities, claiming, 'I am the Christ, the Messiah.' They will deceive a lot of people. When reports come in of wars and rumored wars, keep your head and don't panic. This is routine history; this is no sign of the end. Nation will fight nation and ruler fight ruler, over and over. Famines and earthquakes will occur in various places. This is nothing compared to what is coming.

They are going to throw you to the wolves and kill you, everyone hating you because you carry My name.... it will be dog-eat-dog.

For many, the overwhelming spread of evil will do them in - nothing left of their love but a mound of ashes." (from Matthew 24)

Question 1:
How do you know you won't be one of the many?

  1. I will make sure that I am ready...always, my children and I. When Jesus says "come"....I hope I can go running into his arms....

My children come home with these thoughts "people say this and that" my youngest has been affected the most he is almost 10....I just tell him we have to ready for Jesus, when he wants us he will take us...our hearts and soul have to be ready while we are waiting.

Look forward to your blog Boothe....God Bless.

  2. I have the assurance of my Father that I can withstand any storm. HE is my rock and my deliverer. In HIM will I trust. I can weather any storm with HIM by my side. His promises are true.

  3. For me this question brings the ever raging battle in my mind and heart between how much of my faith is dependent on my will and how much of it is only because of God's grace. I don't think there are easy answers when it comes to questions like yours, but what comes to mind for me is the directive to the Church at Ephesus in Revelation 2: don't forget your (my, our) first love. Repent and do the things you (I,we) did at first.

  4. I won't be one of the "many" because I know without a shadow of a doubt that my heart belongs 100% to my Savior. Nothing can come between me and my salvation that I have because of Him. Nothing.

  5. I know the enemy is a master liar, I know he will try to devour and destroy me, I know I will be tempted, I know he targets the champions. But I also know this, I have a Lord and Savior who is mighty to save. I purpose to stay constant in prayer, to eat the Word, live by faith, and to trust God and His Holy Spirit to lead and guide me into all truth. If I stay in the secret place, abiding under the shadow of His wing, He will keep me from being deceived.

  6. I read your post on Monday.
On Monday night I received an email full of venom, half truths, lies and distortions from someone that I love. The reason was that DH and I have taken a stand on the authority of the Word of God. Standing for truth has cost us a lot, but denying that truth would cost far more.
Being 'hated' by a member of your own family = costly
Being counted as a follower of Christ = priceless

  7. I don't know that you can know, but you can keep striving to be like Jesus, act like Jesus. Be in prayer and in your Bible, daily, hourly, minute by minute. Know the Word and hide it in your hearts. Stay strong and bold and rely on Christ alone, for there is nothing within any of us that gives us the power to overcome our own unbelief and selfishness.

  8. I once read that federal law officials who track down counterfeit money study nothing but real bills, currency, etc., to the extent they know the real bills so well that they can spot a fake one in an instant. Don't know if that's true, but I like the concept. God made us to know him and gave us the word, truth, light...
